Lewis Poole and his band are well and truly ready to finally be able to release the first of a handful of upcoming singles from his future, as yet untitled 3rd album on Friday 1st July. Starting with ‘ALONE 2.0’!
ALONE 2.0 is re-imagined from an original much slower acoustic idea from 10 years ago. It felt like the time was right now for this song to blossom into this new sound which will be customary with these new singles.
Upbeat ‘Pop-Rock’ incorporated with Synths.
Lewis Poole mentions.. “The song’s about being bitter and jealous and exploring these emotions, because sometimes you’re simply fed up with stuff and want to yell about it. You can also find yourself being petty and cynical, like I was when I wrote the song. Now that I’ve grown up it’s funny to look back on.”
He adds.. “As I’ve grown older I’ve saved some songs that I wrote when I was younger that I wanted to give the full-production treatment once I felt my sound had been found. Alone 2.0 is the first one of those, hence the 2.0 in the title. This song is for those who feel stood on the sidelines and watching their fantasy playout through someone else’s life, as well as the thoughts and feelings that go with that scenario.”
